digital TV- the DTH service from Airtel - today announced the Indian television premiere of the latest global tween blockbuster – ‘Hannah Montana: The Movie’ on its Pay Per View (PPV) service even before its theatre launch in India.
Directed by Peter Chelsom, this musical extravaganza takes the Emmy-nomination Disney Channel series to the big screen. Grossing $17.4 million on its opening day and earning #1 spot at the box office, the movie revolves around Miley Stewart (played by Miley Cyrus) who juggles between school, friends and her secret pop-star persona Hannah Montana. When the pop star's soaring popularity threatens to take over Miley’s life, her father (Billy Ray Cyrus) takes the teen home to Crowley Corners, Tennessee, for a dose of reality, kicking off an adventure filled with the kind of fun, laughter and romance that even Hannah Montana couldn't imagine.
