Ruling Congress was leading in nine of the ten Lok Sabha seats in Haryana while the newly formed Haryana Janhit Congress-BL was ahead in Hissar from where former chief minister Bhajan Lal was in the fray.      

The INLD and the BJP, who have a seat-sharing agreement for the elections, were trailing in all the 10 Lok Sabha constituencies.      Bhajan Lal was leading by 23,261 votes over his nearest INLD rival Sampat Singh from Hissar.      

Union Ministers Selja and Inderjit Singh were leading from Ambala and Gurgaon by 5,399 votes and 33,295 votes over their nearest rivals Rattan Lal Kataria of BJP and BSP's Zakir Hussain respectively.      

Congress candidates from Kurukshetra, Navin Jindal and Rohtak, Deepinder Hooda, were ahead of their INLD rivals in their respective constituencies.      

While Industrialist Jindal was leading by 47,346 votes over his nearest rival Ashok Arora, Deepinder, son of Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda, was leading by 2,23,452 votes over his nearest rival Nafe Singh Rathi.      

Ashok Tanwar of Congress has established a lead of 20,247 votes over his INLD rival Sita Ram from Sirsa while Arvind Sharma (INC) was ahead of I D Swami (BJP) by 13,456 votes from Karnal.     

In Sonipat, Congress' Jitender Malik has established a lead of 12,936 votes over BJP's Kishen Singh Sangwan and in Bhiwani, Shruti Chaudhary was leading by 3,580 votes over Ajay Singh Chautala of INLD.     

Avtar Singh Bhadana was leading by 27,624 votes over his nearest BJP rival Ram Chander Banda from Faridabad.
