For the third consecutive time, Business Standard photographer Priyanka Parashar has claimed the “Best Photojournalist” award presented by Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week that concluded in the capital on Sunday with a J J Valaya show.
Aimed at recognising a fresh photographic style and creativity on the ramp and at the venue event, feature photographer Priyanka Parashar took home the trophy and the prize money of Rs 15,000 for her classic black-and-white group shot of models walking the ramp at the wildlife-themed Manish Arora autumn/winter 2009 collection.
Previously, Parashar won the trophy for another black-and-white group shot of models on the ramp at the Nikhil & Shantanu spring/summer collection showing for 2009 in October last year. Prior to that, her photograph of Rihane’s autumn/winter 2008 collection won her the first trophy in March 2008.
