Major schemes for expanding the scope of health insurance to the below poverty line families are on the anvil, Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare Panabaka Lakshmi said here today.
Speaking at the inauguration of the Sarojkumab Suryasinji Rathore Charitable General Hospital here, Lakshmi called upon the private partners in healthcare to meet the needs of the people of the country as the government has its own limitations.
She said, “We cannot claim to have achieved victory over communicable diseases till date and are now faced with the threat of a huge exlosion in non-communicable diseases.”
