Herbalife signs four-time world boxing champion as their sponsored sportsperson

Reinforces its Commitment to Promote Healthy Active Life

Herbalife India, a global nutrition Company, today announced its partnership with MC Mary Kom, the four-time world boxing champion and ambassador for the International Boxing Association, as its sponsored sportsperson for its nutritional range of products. In addition to MC Mary Kom, Herbalife India has recently renewed their association with Saina Nehwal, the world’s number 2 badminton player as their sponsored sportsperson.

MC Mary Kom is the recipient of the Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna, the Padma Shri and the Arjuna Award.  She is also recognized by the BBC and other experts as one of India’s foremost medal hopes at the 2012 London Olympic Games. Her training and preparation for the Olympics is supported by the Olympic Gold Quest (OGQ), a not-for-profit foundation set up with the mission of winning Olympic gold medals for the country. The OGQ was started by Indian sports legends Geet Sethi and Prakash Padukone.

MC Mary Kom is scheduled to participate in the World Boxing Championship and the Asian Games over the next four months and she is favored to win the gold at both of these prestigious events. 

She is exclusively represented by Infinity Optimal Solutions Private Limited (IOS), a leading sports management company based out of New Delhi, which has a proven track record for focusing its energies and expertise on sports other than cricket.
