| With 7000 professionals and presence across 10 major cities in India, Honeywell Building Solutions is eyeing $1 billion turnover from India operations by 2010, on the back of rapid retail and real estate boom.

| "We integrate and maintain the systems that keep facilities safe, secure, comfortable, productive and energy-efficient in a building," said Tarun Ramrakhiani, head - marketing of Honeywell Building Solutions.

| The various Honeywell building solutions include HVAC (heating, ventilating, and air-conditioning) control solutions, fire detection systems, security systems - access control, video surveillance and intruder/perimeter systems security optimisation services, among others.

| The company also provides integrated solutions using Honeywell Building Solutions like enterprise building integrator (EBI) which is a powerful suite of applications that integrates cost effective supervision and control over HVAC, fire detection and security systems. EBI helps one maximise productivity, optimise assets, lower operating costs, secure facilities and safeguard assets.

| One of the biggest risks is the risk of fire. Honeywell's broad range of notification devices, control panels and indicating devices help building managers in early detection in case of a contingency and thus help ensure the life safety of all occupants in the building.

| The Honeywell CCTV solution eliminates the need for racks of recording equipment and videos, and saves staff hours previously spent searching through tapes for a particular recording.

| "A significant chunk of operating costs arise out of operating utilities of which electricity itself accounts for nearly 80 per cent," added Ramrakhiani.

| "Honeywell also provided nationwide biometric security for Indian Oil Corporation Ltd, in over 350 locations, at a cost of close to Rs 30 crore," informed Sanjoy Bhattacharya, project manager, Honeywell Building Solutions.

| The Sydney Airport has fully integrated CCTV solution with Honey Enterprise Buildings Integrator and is used as the integration platform for Sydney Airport's total security, access control and surveillance systems.

| Sydney Olympics 2000 saw more than 1,00,000 spectators at a time at the Australia stadium. Surveillance and security was provided by a combination of Honeywell's XSM, CCTV cameras and switchers, Smart Card Access Control system with photo-id system. EBI was used as the integration platform in other similar venue of Sydney Superdome.

| 2IFC in Hongkong, that has 88 floors of 2600 sq m each, used Honeywell's Digital Video Manager and Enterprise Buildings Integrator.

| Langham Place Development (K2) in Hongkong, which is the busiest multi-use complex in Hongkong, comprising office tower of 709000 sq ft, a 5-star hotel of 42 stories and a shopping mall of 15 stories, used a scalable solution by Honeywell for the 800-doors complex with 600 cameras, 30 DVRs and a BMS integration with chiller, fire and UPS.

| Honeywell also provided distributed access control for Dhofar Company in Oman, which has substations at remote locations 20 and 40 kms away, were access controlled over Fiber Optic WAN. The solution included special hardware to survive the hard environment and online access verification.

| For Amby Valley, Sahara Lake City, Honeywell provided seamlessly integrated access control, anti-intrusion, CCTV, perimeter security and guard tour.

| Honeywell also provided personnel movement tracking and access control for Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC). All ONGC offshore oil platforms, on-shore properties and personnel movement were monitored using smart cards, biometrics, and turnstiles. |
