Asian Hotels Ltd, the owner of Hyatt regency chain of hotels in India, has taken up management of four conference rooms and the club at the Bengal Chamber of Commerce & Industries (BCCI).
The company will take over marketing of the property, bookings and allocations of the meeting rooms and also run the club which has been renamed the Palladian Lounge. The facilities will be available to 250 corporate members of BCCI.
Asian Hotels Ltd, which is also a member of the chamber, will get a percentage of turnover as fee. “Since BCCI is located at the central business district of Kolkata and there could be demand from our guests to hold meetings and seminars here,” Sandip Ganguli, vice president (sales and marketing) of Asian Hotels said.
Aniruddha Lahiri, vice president of BCCI, said the endeavor was part of image makeover the chamber has taken up. “The Lounge has been redesigned to give it a contemporary look. BCCI wants its members to use the facility more often,” he added.
