IBM partners Tally for ERP solution
Press Trust of India / New Delhi Aug 03, 2009, 15:53 IST

Targeted at small and mid-sized businesses, technology giant IBM today announced that it has partnered Tally to deliver Tally's enterprise resource planning (ERP) solution for its platform.

By combining Tally's leadership in the ERP market for small and mid-sized companies with IBM's technology strength and reach, a noteworthy new solution has been introduced to the dynamic Indian mid-market, IBM said in a statement.

"IBM is excited to add this market leading solution to our Smart Business portfolio. This could be a significant driver of IBM's mid-market solutions business," IBM Regional General Manager India/South Asia Shankar Annaswamy said.

IBM will deliver the solution along with the necessary hardware, software, and services, it said.

The solution is available at less than Rs 5 lakh and provides capabilities such as PBX, email, calendaring and instant messaging.

"Tally ERP on the IBM Smart Business platform is a perfect fit for small and medium businesses and an important step to bring business intelligence and powerful solutions at an affordable price," Tally CEO Bharat Goenka said.

Tally's ERP solution provides accounting, finance, inventory management, remote access, statutory compliance capabilities, integrated support centre and security management.
