IBM has set up centres of excellence (CoE) at six engineering and technology colleges in Tamil Nadu to help students learn new skillsets on the company's software as well as develop business solutions.
The COEs were launched at Sona College of Technology, Salem; KLN College of Information Technology, Madurai; Kalasilingam University, Krishnankovil; RMK College of Engineering, Chennai; and Karpagam College of Engineering and Sri Krishna College of Engineering and Technology in Coimbatore.
“IBM will follow a two-pronged approach providing the colleges with access to technologies relevant to the market while ensuring the right skills are taught. Students can gain first-hand experience of the software products that are installed at the campus. IBM will work closely with the colleges in Tamil Nadu, leveraging the selected colleges as centres of learning,” according to an IBM release.
