ICICI Pru Life awarded at the 10th Asian Six Sigma Excellence Awards

Bags the First Runner up award in the Best Defect Elimination in Service & Transaction category

ICICI Prudential Life Insurance Company was awarded the 1st Runner in the Best Defect Elimination in Service & Transaction category at the 10th Asian Six Sigma Excellence Award 2009, held at Singapore, recently. 

Acknowledging the award, Ms Anita Pai, Executive Vice-President of ICICI Prudential Life said, “True to our customer-centric philosophy, we offer consumers with effective products and services to help them meet their long-term financial goals. To measure our success in these initiatives we have followed the Six Sigma approach and utilized it as the preferred methodology to measure the impact on key performance metrics across our customers, distributors & employees.

She added, “The Six Sigma Excellence Award is a testimony to our quest for excellence using a structured methodology to resolve critical business problems. Through such unique initiatives we will continue to provide world-class service to our customers.”

The Best Defect Elimination in Service & Transaction category in Six Sigma Excellence Award recognizes companies with strong Six Sigma practices, operational excellence, greater customer efficiency amongst other critical aspects. The submissions for the Excellence Awards were evaluated on a varied range of qualifications by some of the Six Sigma most experienced practitioners. This year the award witnessed 48 highly competitive companies participate across Asia, representing industries such as Insurance, Banking, Computer Peripherals and Public Enterprises.

The Six Sigma Excellence Award comes on the heels of the other recent honors for the organization. These recognitions include – The Most Trusted Private Life Insurance brand of 2009 by Brand Equity, ICAI Award for Excellence in Financial Reporting by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) for the financial year ended March 31, 2008, and Commendation for Strong Commitment to HR Excellence 2008 at the CII HR Summit 2008.
