Idea Pvt plans to increase headcount

Bucking the trend of layoffs, Ahmedabad-based industrial product design and engineering company Innovative Design Engineering Animation Pvt Ltd (IDEA) seems to be embarking on a recruitment drive. The company plans to triple the number of employees with it over the period of next two years.

Idea Pvt, a fully integrated product design, engineering and animation company founded in 2006, currently has 102 employees for its Indian operations and 23 for US. The company plans to increase its headcount in India to 350 and US employee strength will be around 48 to 50 over the next two years.

More than 20 per cent of the global revenues are generated from new business and ideas. The companies are growing aware of the need of the innovative product designs. "Since its inception in 2006, the company has 250 product designs to its credit. In order to meet the requirements of our increasing number of clients, we have decided to hire more people for our Indian and US operations," said Deval Shah, director, Idea Pvt Ltd.

"New products with innovative designs keep your sales ticking at a time recession and many companies operating in the country are looking at designing their products as per the requirements of Indian consumers," he added. Companies clients include some of the leading names such as Godrej, Shell, Amul, Eureka Forbes, Electrotherm and Voltas.
