IDS Software Pvt Ltd, a provider of integrated IT solutions for the hospitality industry sector, has announced its latest offering, an interface between the "Fortune Suite of Integrated Solutions' and Open Office applications.

"This feature provides a viable alternative to MS Office", the company said in a statement.      

The daily reports that form an important part of the operations at a hotel can now be generated using Open Office that can be downloaded from the internet at absolutely "no cost", it said.

"This means that each hotel can save a fortune by not having to invest in regular Office Applications that can now be replaced by Open Office".       

"This interface to Open Office is being launched to help our existing and new clients cut costs", said IDS Managing Director Suresh John.
