"Since not many websites are based on politics, we decided to take the plunge and provide content on politics and elections on an interactive basis. Now that we have already seen around 35,000 registrations in the first three days of its launch, we will now move ahead on launching three new portals in the segments of entertainment, sports and citizen advocacy," said Amit Tripathi, managing director of Insite Digital.

The company will be investing around Rs four crore on each of these portals. "We plan to launch these portals by the end of this year," added Tripathi.

Talking about indiavoting.com, Tripathi said, "Not many websites are based on elections and portals. Plus, internet audiences want highly interactive visual-led contest and social networking opportunities. Indiavoting.Com offers 'Democrazy' - a treasure trove for young adults and senior citizens alike in its range of edutainment content, freshly created for general elections 2009.

Later on, we intend to develop the website and introduce better features. Unlike other websites which only try to create awareness among voters about elections, we will continue to make the portal more interactive. In future, we will also feature state elections."

The company has set a target of around one million registrations in the next 60 days.

The portal, www.indiavoting.com, will offer more than 2,000 political cartoons specially created around General Elections 2009, 100 crosswords, 3,000 quiz questions and multimedia games, said Tripathi.

According to Tripathi, the delimitation of existing constituencies has led to rise in the net surfing population being significant part of around 100 parliamentary constituencies.
