Institutes to enrich Infosys BPO's insurance vertical
Press Trust of India / New Delhi Dec 11, 2009, 14:21 IST

Infosys BPO, the outsourcing arm of Infosys Technologies, today said it has partnered with the American Institute for Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter and the Insurance Institute of America (the Institutes) to enrich its insurance vertical.

The partnership will enhance the domain expertise, learning and development of the employees of Infosys BPO serving Property and Casualty, and Reinsurance customers, Infosys BPO said in a statement.

The professionals will also be provided co-branded certification in collaboration with these institutes, it added.

"The partnership with the institutes will enhance our domain expertise and in turn enable us to deliver better value and tangible solutions to our customers," Infosys BPO Head (Insurance, Healthcare and Life Sciences) Amit Kothiyal said.

Infosys BPO has more than 3,000 professionals certified in various insurance and healthcare industry certifications.

With this partnership, Infosys BPO plans to roll out internal and external certifications for more than 1,000 employees in the next 2-3 years, it said.

"The global insurance marketplace is changing at an exponential rate. By using the Institutes' online learning platform, Infosys BPO can deliver insurance content to their employees anywhere in the world," the Institutes Executive Vice-President Saul J Swartout said.
