Andhra Pradesh chief minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy on Thursday agreed to the proposal of Israeli company, Elbit India Agricultural Ventures, to start a dairy farm with 10,000 cattle at Palamaner in Chittoor district. Elbit would invest about Rs 600 crore in the project that would come up on 350 acre. Another unit would also come up at Pulivendula in Kadapa later. High milk yielding cattle from New Zealand would be brought for embryo transfers here.
