Making good of its latest technology in manufacturing shirts, bottom wear fabric and other special fabric, Jaipur-based Jagjanani Textiles Limited is tying up with textile majors like Arvind Ltd. and Jindal Worldwide for outsourcing projects.
While Jagjanani Textiles has already supplied 100,000 metres of bottom wear fabric to Ahmedabad-based Arvind Ltd., the company is looking at an order book of Rs 25 crore from the outsourcing work.
"Due to latest machinery and technology available with us, we give companies like Arvind Limited and Jindal Worldwide, among others, considerable cost advantage. We have been in talks with these players for outsourcing of bottom wear fabric which otherwise for them would be a costly affair. In the outsourcing project, they will be providing us concepts and we will develop it for them," said SG Vyas, managing director of Jagjanani Textiles Ltd.
Currently, Jagjanani Textiles boasts an order book of three lakh metres from Arvind and 1.60 lakh metres from Jindal Worldwide for bottom wear fabric. On the special fabric side, the company is in talks with Reliance for technical support in developing nice products like furnishing fabric and industrial fabric. "We are working closely with Reliance Industries for providing us technical support in developing some niche products in textile. We are eyeing the hospitality and medical tourism industry for products like furnishing fabric and industrial fabric," Vyas added.
While Jagjanani runs a plant in Jaipur with a capacity of 10 million metres of fabric per annum, the company expects to export about 40 per cent of it. For the financial year 2008-09, Jagjanani Textiles pegged a turnover of Rs 40 crore.
