"(The) figures of results for March 2009 (are of) post merger and hence not comparable with those of the previous year," Jaiprakash Associates said.
Total income of the company stood at Rs 4,967.47 crore for the period ended March 31. It had a total income of Rs 4,394 crore in the same period last year.
The board of directors of the company proposed a final dividend of Rs 0.40 a piece on the shares of face value of Rs 2 each for the year 2008-2009, the filing added.
Jaiprakash Associates was trading at Rs 233.40, up 0.91 per cent on the BSE.
