Jaiprakash Associates today announced a 60 per cent increase in net profit tot Rs 45 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2004 from Rs 28 crore for the same period in the previous year.
Total income has increased to Rs 705 crore for the third quarter ended December 31, 2004 from Rs 529 crore in the same period last year.
The company also said in a statement that the foreign currency convertible bond issue, which was launched on January 27, 2005, has been oversubscribed.
The company statement also said the issue size has been increased from $75 million to $100 million. The bonds will be listed on the Singapore Stock Exchange. The initial conversion price of the offer has been set to Rs 236.31 a share.
