Jet to launch Sharjah-Kochi daily services from Sep 1
Press Trust of India / Dubai Jul 22, 2009, 14:59 IST

Private carrier Jet Airways announced the launch of its Sharjah-Kochi daily services from September 1 this year.

The airline will launch services from Sharjah aboard state-of-the-art Boeing 737-800 aircraft. As a result, from September 1, 2009 to October 24, 2009 and from March 28, 2010 to October 30, 2010, flight 9W 562 will depart from Kochi at 1045 hrs, arriving in Sharjah at 1305 hrs.

Flight 9W 561 will then depart Sharjah at 1415 hrs, arriving in Kochi at 1945 hrs. But the departure and arrival timings of the flights are however, subject to the governments approval.

"Our plan to operate out of Sharjah, subject to all government approvals being in place, stems from the fact that there is a large Keralite community residing in Sharjah and the Northern Emirates, who would like to travel on a full service premium airline," Jet Airways General Manager–Dubai and N Emirates Shakir Kantawala said.

"We are offering an introductory fare of 995 dirhams, all inclusive, for travel from Sharjah to Kochi between 1st September and 7th September, and return journey can be completed on or before 30th September 2009," he said.

With effect from October 25, 2009 to March 27, 2010, flight 9W 562 will depart from Kochi at 1045 hrs, arriving in Sharjah at 1325 hrs. Flight 9W 561 will then depart Sharjah at 1425 hrs, arriving in Kochi at 1945 hrs.
