Kajaria Chemicals has soared following a 160% jump in Q1 net profit.
The stock today opened at Rs 37.70 and slipped to a low of Rs 35.50 - down 2.2%. Thereafter, the stock zoomed over 20% from its low to touch a high of Rs 42.85. It is now at Rs 41 - up 13%.
The counter has witnessed heavy trade volumes of 2.95 million shares as against its two-week daily trade average of 173,393 shares on the BSE so far.
Q1 net profit has increased 160% at Rs 6.04 crore from Rs 2.32 crore in the corresponding quarter a year ago. The turnover, however, has declined 3.5% to Rs 159.88 crore from Rs 166.02 crore.
