Kerala Chief Minister VS Achuthanandan will be removed from the CPI(M)’s Politburo on ground of “serious indiscipline.” The Politburo has found him guilty of publicly airing his differences with his bete noire, Kerala unit General Secretary Pinarai Vijayan. VS will be allowed to remain Kerala chief minister by the Central Committee, but a section of the party thinks his days as CM are numbered, as the state unit will try to dislodge him from the post.
At the CPI(M) Central Committee meeting today, party General Secretary Prakash Karat presented two reports. The first one is on the SNC Lavalin case in which Pinarai has been given a clean chit. In the second report, VS has been slammed for gross indiscipline.
The Achuthanandan lobby will still try to inflict some injury to the rival camp tomorrow, the last day of the CC meet. But it is unlikely that Pinarai will be removed from the state secretary’s post.
It is time that V.S is removed from CM post. He is just using "fight against corruption" to get rid of his rival party secretary. 99% of politicain and govt. officials are corrupt in Kerala. And VS is not doing anything about it. This is his publicity stunt with the help of News papers supporting UDF
