Kobian Group expands presence in the Middle East & Africa

Company constructs Dhs22 million warehouse in Jebel Ali to meet continued growth in the Middle East, Africa & CIS

Kobian Pte Ltd, the leading manufacturer of Mercury & iXA brand of IT Components & Peripherals, today unveiled their Global Expansion Plans.

Kobian Gulf, the group’s UAE division, announced the completion of its Dhs22 million state of-the-art warehouse cum regional office in Dubai’s Jebel Ali Free Trade Zone.

The geographical location of the Group’s central warehouse at Jebel Ali will make shipments and movement of cargo much faster to local Dubai market and more importantly reduce transit time to other ports of India, Africa and CIS countries.

Defying the global downturn, the Group, which witnessed strong organic growth in 2008 in Middle East, Africa and CIS Countries is confident of repeating its successful track record this year. Kobian sees greater potential for its IT and lifestyle brands, including the best-selling Mercury family of computer components mainly Mainboards , Computer Case ,  Power Products –UPS , AVR , Inverters ; Monitors , Keyboard , Scanners ,etc . Notebook Bags , Accessories and Speakers under IXA Brand, Air Conditioners, Refrigerator, Washing Machine , CCTV and LCD TV under Mercury Brand along with distribution of major brand Consumer Electronic and IT  Products .

Kobian Gulf has been focusing in providing better support to their customers by local logistics, marketing , after sales support and other value add services like consolidation, warehousing ,etc .The latest facility will replace the old warehouse with increased capacity and optimized logistics while reducing delivery time and cost. The company is also confident that the new warehouse will improve its supply chain management significantly. At the same time, by localizing its warehouses across the world, the company will now be able to increase its service levels to its resellers and provide cost-effective just-in-time delivery.
