38-year-old Koda, who was being questioned by IT officials in connection with alleged huge hawala transactions and illegal investments, is in the Intensive Care Unit of a hospital here.

"His stomach ache is under control and blood pressure has come down," said Javed Akhtar, Public Relations Officer of the Abdur Razzak Memorial Weavers' Hospital here.

Koda was admitted to the hospital after he fell ill at home yesterday during Income Tax raids on his residence.

The IT department has been searching premises of Koda and his alleged associates.

The raids began on Saturday on 70 places in nine cities across the country including Delhi, Mumbai and Kolkata with the IT department claiming to have found evidence of hawala transactions and illegal investments running into more than Rs 2,000 crore.
