The August issue of the magazine published its annual list for the year and Leo Burnett, Mumbai is the only Indian agency to feature on the list. The list is based on the basis of points that an agency gets due to the wins in the various awards functions in the year 2007-08. Different weights have been assigned to Gold, silver and Bronze, with Cannes assigned a slight premium.

The company got a total of 180 points, whereas leading the list was BBDO, New York with 845 points, followed by T.A.G., San Francisco, 490 points and Maccann Erickson, San Francisco, 475 points, to name a few.

This is the first time an Indian agency has ranked in the top 20 in the magazines list. Commenting on the achievement, K V Sridhar, national creative director, Leo Burnett said: "Now that we have been selected here our efforts will be focused to keep our name featured on the list in the next year as well."

Earlier, this year, JWT Mumbai made its maiden appearance in the top 50 in Gunn Report, an international independent report on creativity in advertising world.
