The editorial ‘Cutting across edges’, October 9, said that like the three earlier Indian science laureates, Venkatraman Ramakrishnan was also compelled to go overseas to fulfill his potential.
Sir C V Raman did not go overseas for his research and his entire work was done in Calcutta. We regret the error.
