LS polls: 369 candidates in MP lose security deposits

Three hundred and sixty nine candidates, out of 429 candidates, who contested the Lok Sabha polls lost their security deposits in Madhya Pradesh, officials said.     

Out of these 369 candidates, 214 were Independent while the rest belonged to different political parties, officials added.     

Twenty one candidates out of 24 in Morena Parliamentary seat, 11 out of 13 in Bhind, 21 out of 23 in Gwalior, 16 out of 18 in Guna, 10 out of 12 in Sagar, 15 out of 17 in Tikamgarh, 19 out of 21 in Damoh, 13 out of 15 in Khajuraho, 12 out of 15 in Rewa, 9 out of 11 in Sidhi, 6 out of 8 in Shahdol, 9 out of 11 in Jabalpur, 12 out of 14 in Mandla, 16 out of 18 in Balaghat, lost their security deposits, they said.     

Twenty six candidates out of 28 in Chhindwara, 8 out of 10 in Hoshangabad, 7 out of 8 in Vidisha, 21 out of 23 in Bhopal, 7 out of 9 in Rajgarh, 8 out of 10 in Dewas, 7 out of 9 in Ujjain, 10 out of 12 in Mandsaur, 8 out of 10 in Ratlam, 9 out of 11 in Dhar, 16 out of 18 in Indore, 9 out of 11 in Khargone, 11 out of 13 in Khandwa, 14 out of 16 in Betul and 18 out of 21 in Satna lost their security deposits.
