The stock touched a high of Rs 1,374 and finally ended up 2% at Rs 1,342. The counter clocked a comparatively heavy trading volume of 1.18 million shares as against the two-week daily traded average of 8,79,982.

Larsen & Toubro has rallied 3% on good Q4 numbers.
The stock opened flat at Rs 1,311 and slipped to a low of Rs 1,310. The stock gained strength and touched a high of Rs 1,362, up 4% from the day's low. The stock is now trading at Rs 1,370, up 4.5% from its previous close. The counter has clocked a volume of 7,01,569 shares on the BSE.
The net profit increased 3% to Rs 998.52 crore in the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2009 from Rs 966.76 crore in the corresponding quarter a year ago, the company said in a filing to the BSE.
The company's total income up 24% at Rs 10,835.79 crore from Rs 8,737.21 crore.
