Construction and engineering major L&T has secured a contract worth Rs 1,635 crore to build a coal-fired plant for Madhya Pradesh Power Generation Co. Ltd.
The project will be executed on an turnkey basis and L&T's scope includes design, engineering, manufacture, supply, erection and commissioning of balance of Plant Package (BoP) systems.
MPPGCL's 1200 MW project in Khandwa district, Madhya Pradesh will add approximately 28.8 million units to the grids every day once it start operation. the project is being funded by the MP state government and Power Finance Corporation (PFC).
