L&T rallied over 5% to Rs 1,495, after touching a high of Rs 1,503. The counter clocked a volume of 419,907 shares as against its two-week average traded quantity of 450,252 shares.

Larsen & Toubro has signed an agreement with Jaiprakash Power Ventures for supply of eqiupment for the latter's Nilgrie Super Thermal Power Project in Madhya Pradesh. According to the deal, Larsen & Toubro will supply two units of 660 Mw each for the power plant.
