Larsen & Toubro scrip rose 8.82 per cent to Rs 1,346.25 on reports that its Oman subsidiary has bagged three orders worth Rs 518 crore. The first, worth Rs 207.4 crore, involves construction, engineering and procurement of power sub-stations. The second (Rs 206.1 crore) is for construction of a power grid station.

The third, worth Rs 104.7 crore, requires it to build infrastructure for the second Asian Beach games. L&T also signed an agreement with GE Hitachi Nuclear Energy for co-operation on nuclear power plants. The stock touched an intra-day high of Rs 1,469.75 and a low of Rs 1,270 with trading volumes of 3.04 million shares.
