Pharma firm Lupin today said it will borrow up to Rs 500 crore from corporate bodies and various financial institutions.

In a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange Lupin said its shareholders have approved the company to borrow up to Rs 500 crore in the form of term-loans or debentures from various financial institutions and corporate bodies.

Further, the shareholders at the annual general meeting have approved the re-appointment of Deloitte Haskins & Sells as statutory auditors of the company.

Shares of Lupin closed at Rs 1,036.25, up 3.58 per cent on the BSE.
