Machaan plans 6 new restaurants by March 2010

Machaan, the flagship brand of Speciality Restaurants Pvt Ltd (SRPL), has opened its restaurant in Nashik. Moreover, Machaan has plans to open another six new restaurants in the country by March 2010.

Machaan is the latest brand in the chain of restaurants of the Speciality Group, serving timeless delicacies from far corners of the sub-continent.

The rich variety of the restaurant’s cuisine harks back to the richness of the jungle from Ranthambore to the Duars, from Gir to Kanha.

Presently, Speciality Group (SRPL) has 55 restaurants under the brand name Mainland China, Machaan, Oh! Calcutta, Sigree, Flame & Grill, and Just Biryani.

With the opening of its new restaurant in Nashik, the number of Machaan restaurants has reached 4 in the country, including Mumbai and Kolkatta. “Being in the mould of a jungle format serving delectable cuisine, vibrant ambience with the famous service adding to its charm, Machaan has already received overwhelming response in Mumbai and Kolkatta,” the company official said.

The new Machaan restaurant, which is located near Mumbai Naka areas of Nashik, is spread over 4,000 sq ft area of five-storyed hotel with total area of 20,000 sq ft.

“As part of our expansion plans, we are planning to open another six Machaan restaurants in some select major cities by March 2010,” the company official told Business Standard.
