Mafatlal Industries Ltd (MIL), a flagship company of Arvind Mafatlal Group, is planning to open 50 showrooms this year across the country with an investment of Rs 6 crore. While the domestic economy is growing at a sustained rate of over 5 per cent despite drawdowns in global economies, MIL is in the process setting up 10 showrooms in Maharashtra, five in Gujarat, 20 in Kerala, five in Tamil Nadu, five in Bihar and another five in Kolkata. 

Currently the company has 200 retail showrooms, and 6,000 retail outlets in both full-fledged and franchisee showrooms. It also plans to increase its semi-wholesale dealers from 300 to 500 and add another 500 retail showrooms over five years.
