| Mahle inaugrated its second unit in Himachal Pradesh |

Mahle Filter Systems India Limited (MFSI), formerly known as Purolator India Limited, manufacturer and exporter of Automotive filters in India, inuagrated its second unit at Parwanoo(Himachal Pradesh). The plant will go into production by February 2010 and will generate annual revenue of Rs 50 crores.
The new plant will manufacture the PU Moulded filter elements, Ecological Plastic Embedded filter elements and Lube Oil spin-on filters with new crimping design. The new plant - Parwanoo Plant - II will cater to service the requirement of MFSI’s existing and new customers like Tata Motors, M&M, GM and Bosch. It will also cater to the requirements of the replacement market in India and for exports.
It is worth noting that MAHLE Filter Systems India, a joint venture between MAHLE Group of Germany and Anand Automotive Systems, earlier known as Purolator India Limited, was established in 1966 to manufacture an extensive range of Air, Oil, Fuel and Hydraulic filters for application in the Automotive, Railway, Aviation etc.
"With the Capital Investment at about Rs 60 million in building, plant and Machinery, the proposed Installed capacity of the plant is expected to be 22 million filters per annum", said Deepak Chopra, CEO Designate, Anand Automotive Systems. MAHLE Filter Systems India already has three plants at Parwanoo, Gurgaon and Pune, having annual revenue of Rs 300 crore in 2008-09.
