Batala (Punjab): Members of Christian and Hindu communities clashed and indulged in vandalising public property here over publication of a picture of Jesus Christ in an allegedly objectionable manner, prompting authorities to clamp an indefinite curfew.
Hyderabad: Police laid a siege to Hyderabad city for 10 hours to foil pro-Telangana students to march towards the state Assembly marred by attempted self-immolation by a youth.

Hyderabad: Pro-Telangana agitators stone the vehicle of an MLA and staged protests against another lawmaker demanding their resignation, even as the 19-year-old youth, who attempted self immolation, succumbed to his burns.
Mysore: Fiftythree cars are damaged in a fire that breaks out in the parking lot of a car showroom in Hebbal Industrial area here.
Srinagar: At least 15 people are injured as fresh clashes broke out between protesters, demanding the release of youths arrested on charges of stone-hurling, and security forces in different parts of Kashmir valley.
