Mamata Banerjee assumes office as railway minister

In an unusual step, Railway Minister Mamata Banerjee today assumed charge of her office at the Eastern Railway headquarters here instead of Rail Bhavan in the national capital.
The change in her schedule came in the wake of the cyclone Aila that hit West Bengal yesterday, disrupting flights and movement of trains.
Railway Board Chairman S S Khurana and other senior Railway officials were present when Banerjee assumed charge.
The Trinamool Congress chief had said on Saturday that she would take charge of the ministry only after the swearing in of other ministers from her party.
Banerjee was inducted into the Union Cabinet on Friday last along with 18 other ministers. The expansion of the UPA ministry, which was expected to take place today, is likely to be held on Thursday.

Is there any proposal in railway budget (2011) for recruitment in Indian Railway(E.R.) for Gr:D from quasi-Government such as "railway canteen","institute","railway employees' co-operative"
etc.
If it is then how shall I come to know? I'm working last nine years in above mentioned quasi-government concern. Now I'm near about 39 yrs old.There is no chance to serve in Govt.concern as per rule of age relaxation.So I'm looking your kind-heart.

Dear Didi,my self Prasanta Mukherjee most humbly request you to please advise to extend the Banaswadi platform in Bangalore, just to accomodate long ditance trains, so that we can avoid travel of long distane on road to avail the same train from terminal station, Yeswantpur.Please consider this as a request from many other fellow travellers from Banaswadi station area.

I am ordinary person to write to you I just want tell you that I am gangman's son and why the wards of railway employees are not benefited by Indain Railways I am just focusing towards the wards that highly qualified and can perform very well in Indian Railways if given a chance we belong to the railways since we are born and our fathers have given 30-35 years of service and as per the current scenario the CBI has raided the RRb office at hyderbad I just focusing your concern that why not your own people been given a chance to perform.
Madam I'am sorry to say that I'am not happy accepting you as a Railway minister because u can see that if passenger wants to go to there native place or anywhere else they can't get reservation even if they booked the ticket 3 months before.What is this?All this is just because of dalal or agent they sale the tickets in black with higher rates.I'am telling you about myself that I have booked ticket 3 months before till now it is showing 1 waiting and u can't imazine that how much it's urgent for me to go home.I kindly request that plz do the needfull.

halt running under halt agent must be allowed to sell forein ticket and PRS facility.TSIS WILL EASE the problem of passengers.u must organise the weekly JANTA DARBAR program.there is a halt under division samastipur, east central rail hajipur.it was inaugrated on 05.12.2008.but till today store is not provided.pls pay attention. thank u

We are facing serious problem in train ticket booking online in tatkal mode........we never get system - irctc working for the tickets to booked.daily from morning 8 till the tatkal ends system are NOT ATALL working.....this is very much required and we hope this problem will get solved with your attention.

Please reschedule the time of the last train from sealdah in Main line as
most of the employees of Salt lake sector-v will be satisfied by reaching home or they have to wait till 3.30am morning as the last train departs at 11.40pm from sealdah.I hope & expect a train in between 12am - 1am.

Train No. 2578 (bagmati express) runs from Bangalore city to Darbhanga Jn. Departure time is 09:00 and arrival time to darbhanga jn is 13:30, But it arrives daily at darbhanga jn. around 16:00 to 17:00 oclock. It takes 3-4 hrs. to reach home. because all the passengers has to go very far village. It is risky to go outer side village after 06 oclock in dark.
So many peole are facing robbery several times. we are requesting you to pls change the train time. Its better if train reaches Darbhanga Jn. before afternoon, so that passengers can reach home till evening....
After Black Diamond Express departure 17:32 at Asansol, there is no train for going to Howrah/Sealdah. A local train 230 departure 19:04 at Asansol is the only train goes up to Barddhaman. Needless to mention that Shatabdi Express dep 18:20 at Asansol is not affordable by all. Your attention is invited to the fact and fate of Barddhaman District.

Dear Madam,train no 8104 is running from AMRITSAR to TATA NAGAR via LUCKNOW FAIZABAD but this train does not stop at SHAHAGANJ JN as this station is junction. so you are requested to please arrange to STOP this trian at this station for FIVE MINUTES as so many people from Amritsar, Ludhiana, Jalandhar,chandigarh are belonging form Estern UP, and are making their jerony for these stations. So Please look into the matter and oblige the people of Estern UP.

I am from Indore, MP, working under ministry of textiles. but my native place is westbengal , hooghly district, due to native place visit time to time i have to travel by train,but i am very sorry to say that only Shipra express is from indore to howrah which is 3 days in a week and also no pantry car is this train, accoring to my knowledge near about 5oooo bengali people are staying here. and all are often visit bengal , but facing problem to maintain their family preoperly within time in west bengal.
you are there fore requested to regular the train service every day in a week and attached pantry car with good quality of food ,

I m very much upset, I booked the ticket from Nashik to Gorakhpur last 2nd Jan and Waiting List(PQWL 6) ,date of departure 11th Feb ,now still showing 6th after one month..
I booked ticket more that 20 people from Nashik to gorkhpur Train no 1015..
there are 7 children(3 to 9 yrs) ,two senior citizen (80 yrs) and ladies.
Who will be responsible if they have any problem if they don't get confirm ticket from railway.
I m writing this mail bcoz i booked ticket,but the problem is i m not staying in India from long time so i m not aware of all these rules and regulation...

This is a very good step by indian Rly. that the Safety Related Retirement Scheme (SRRS) for the categories of Drivers and Gangmen has been introduced by Kumari Mamata Banerjee Hon. Mininter of Railway to maintain the safety in Railways. But it will be more fruitful if the wards of said employee will get a job in Rly as per their qualification , Because if they will appoint as a Gangman ( having more qualification ) , they will not able to work properly as comparision a experienced gangman. But it will be benifitial for Rly. if they will appointed any other area of Rly . Hence Pls. look this matter & do the needful. It will be a grate Help to Railway Family & they will remains grateful to u.

The Railway Minister, Rail Bhawan, New Delhi I have taken a ticket against ticket No.D975821 dt.20.10.2009 from Bamnia(M.P)to NEW DELHI. Train no.9019 bandra dehradune exp. My coach no is S4 and my birth No. is 33 , but there was also travelling a man who had a same birth no. I am very surprised.After reching Ratlan Jn. i complaint T.T to solve this problem but T.T misbehaved.For then i travell in genral compartment.After trevelling some station another person tells me that the ticket booking clerk of bamnia is very rude person & also he is a druker.He drunk all the time in deuty hour & misbehaved all the persons who took ticket from him.And mam there is also a serious problem that he open the ticket counter when train comes near to station & he took more money to provide a ticket.Mam i want that u take some serious action against him, Rather then i have to go consumer court.

The Railway Minister, Rail Bhawan, New Delhi I have taken a ticket against ticket No.03301833 dt.06.10.2009 & PNR No. 643-0701639 from Mirzapur to Ghaziabad. Train no. 2311 in 2S of Kalka Mail. My coach no is D1 and my birth No. is 1 & 2 , but there was no D1 coach in whole train. I am very surprised and ask the TT he told me that there was no coach name D1 in Kalka mail. I have confirm reservation ticket but i was forced to travel in a general compartment. who is responsible for this suffering.

For without platform ticket penalty issues the staffs are charges very much and treated the peoples like terrorists inspite of producing Identity cards. Sometimes due to urgency if somebody enters plat for being late due to traffic congestion etc a nominal fine is ok but the railways staffs in secunderabad charges more than 700 rs with lots of abuse and mis behaves. Ok by mistake or knowingly we break the rule of the railways by going to plat form , for this heafty charges is not acceptable. when we are appraoching the station officials for how they are calculating the penalty, they behave like Jamraj and told punish the fellow indian with fine and put him behind bar .
Hoping like Tatkal reforms you shl help your country fellows, at least by a clear cut rules and nominal charges.

1. Return Tickets from durgapur station to any destination, (the place where RAJDHANI has stopage but the facility of return tickets are not available here).
2. In EMU(Local Train)like Burdwan to Purulia and Burdwan to Gomoh there are no toilets problem is very acute specially for the ladies traveling for long distance

I have taken a ticket against ticket No.43377989 dt.27.06.2009 & PNR No. 642-6244805 from Raxaul to Delhi. Train no. 5273 in 3AC of Satyagrah Express. It was because the schools of our children were about to open. We got a ticket in RAC B-1 39,39,47,47. So, I requested the T.T.E of Raxaul to confirm a seat. He said that you contact the Gorakhpur T.T.E. Later, I requested the Gorakhpur T.T.E, he said that he will try very rudely but he went and slept. Again I asked him, he said there is no chance now. But, I saw that he was lying. Actually, he took the bribe from the ppl in waiting and gave all the available seats to them. We faced tremendous problem. You must examine the case with the help of the traveling chart and also examine on such ppl.
I want a respond that is the bribe something that is always needed?
