| A group of communication and media professionals have joined together to constitute the Indian Marketing Awards. Focussing on 30 categories like creativity and other emerging disciplines like public relations and market promotion activities, these awards will be based more on the business generated by the activity.

| As marketing turns an inextricable part of the consumer’s life, it is time to recogonise the efforts of those who make it happen." The nomination process for the awards will beging on August 17, while the award ceremony will take place in Delhi on September 29.

| The organisers said the entries backed by business fact sheets, initialled by the companies’ marketing directors, will be scrutinised by a 15-member plus jury, which includes the likes of Harish Bijoor, Mike Khanna, chief executive JWT, Pranesh Mishra, COO Lowe India, Ram Mohan Rao, Dean ISB, Sam Balsara, chairman Madison, and Vijay Singh, managing director LG Care.

| They added that audit firm KPMG will handle the entire nomination process in order to avoid any influence, while Quadra Advisory will be the knowledge partner.

| Further, a dedicated jury will decide on the winners in each award category based on the data sheets for the amount of sales promoted by each activity. |
