The Sensex is quoting at 16,899, up 89 points and the Nifty is at 5026, up 29 points.

The leading Sensex gainers are Grasim (stronger by 2.3% at Rs 2,200), L&T (higher by 2.2% at Rs 1,601) and Tata Steel (up 2.1% at Rs 542). ITC and NTPC have also gained in the region of 2% each.
