The NSE Nifty is at 5,103, down 11 points. The Sensex is now at 171,181, down 42 points.

Among the Nifty 50- stocks, HCL Technologies surged 5% to Rs 326. Jindal Steel and DLF have soared around 4% to Rs 726 and Rs 487, respectively.

Idea Cellular has tumbled 3% to Rs 60 and HDFC has slipped 2.5% to Rs 2,720.

SBI, Tata Motors, Tata Steel and ONGC are down over 1.5% each.
