(Updated at 1404pm)
The Sensex continues to trade well with the Sensex up 60 points and the Nifty adding 16 points at 5,593. Previously, at the start of the trade the Nifty briefly crossed the 5,600 levels, only to slip later and hover around the same. The weakness in the global markets is one of the main reasons for this difficulty.
Earlier gainers, Realty, down 1.3% is one of the biggest losers today on the sectoral charts. Banking which touched its all time high too is in the red, down 0.5% as some profit booking is seen in this sector. IT is flat at 0.06%.
Ambuja Cements up 7% continues to lead the Nifty gainers list followed by ACC adding 6%, Idea and L&T up 3%
The losers are Unitech down 2%, PowerGrid, HCL Technologies and Ranbaxy down 1% each.
