The Sensex is quoting at 16,827, down 59 points, and the Nifty is at 5,003, down 18 points.

Jaiprakash Associates has tumbled 5.16% to Rs 238, Bharti Airtel has declined 2.38% to Rs 418 and Tata Power has dropped 1.67% to Rs 1,293.90.
