launches internship program across Guj.
Leading private life insurance company Max New York Life Insurance is all set to provide students an opportunity to earn while they learn through its recently launched Smart Move, an all India internship program. As part of the programme, the company has collaborated with Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) to offer internship to over 10,000 IGNOU students across the country.
The company has recently introduced this scheme all across Gujarat regions of Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar, Rajkot, Junagadh, Jamnagar, Bhavnagar, Baroda and even in Surat and South Gujarat.
Rajender Sud, director and head - agency distribution, Max New York Life Insurance, said, "With the rapid growth in the Indian insurance industry over the last few years, there is an increasing need for skilled professionals in this sector. One of the most effective ways to generate a ready pool of productive talent is by providing students, specialised training and practical experience early in their careers. Keeping this approach in mind, we have launched Smart Move Internship Program to partner with multiple educational institutions across the country, through which we look forward to providing a strong platform for students to learn, earn and build careers in specialised functions of life insurance."
Interested students, as part of their internship will be provided three days of intense training on all aspects of life insurance, the organisation and the recruitment process. According to Sud, this knowledge gained at the initial stage of their academic pursuit will be instrumental to their professional career.
Trained interns can recruit agent advisors and on each successful recruitment of an agent advisor, they will be remunerated as per the internship program. In addition to the rewards and recognition schemes offered by Max New York Life, if an intern recruits three or more agents, he or she qualifies for a pre placement interview, clearing which he may be absorbed as a permanent employee.
