Metlife India Insurance has launched two new financial products — Sumangali and Vidyakiran — exclusively for the customers of Karnataka Bank. The two products are part of Metlife’s unit-linked insurance plan Met Smart Plus.
While Sumangali is designed to provide liquidity for a policy holder’s daughter’s wedding, Vidyakiran is for children’s education. The products also provide life insurance to the policy holders till they are 99 years old.
Karnataka Bank has been selling Metlife’s insurance policies for the last five years through its 409 branches in Karnataka.
“Although we are present in all the branches of Karnataka Bank, we are yet to tap their customer base properly. Therefore, we are launching these propositions,” Metlife’s managing director Rajesh Relan said.
