| Midcap, smallcap indices outperform Sensex | | Weekly Review |

The BSE midcap and the smallcap indices outperform the Sensex. The midcap and the small cap indices both gained 5% each while the benchmark BSE index was up 5%.
The Midcap soared 5% to 6,735 as compared to the previous close of 6,735.
Among the gainers, Jet Airways rallied 22% to 492.
Scrips like Gujarat NRE, United Breweries, Deccan Chronicle, Puravankara, BF Utilities and Everest Kanto soared 14-20% each.
Amtek Auto was the mjaor loser on the index, down 7.5% at 171. Peninsula Land, Andrew Yule, National Fertiliser, Bajaj Finservice and GTL Infrastructure declined 2-3% each on the Midcap index.
The smallcap index also put up a great performance this week, advanced 5% to 8,499 as compared to the previous close of 8,067.
Among the stocks, Suzler India was the prominent gainer, rallied 56% to 1,243.
Ineos ABS, Zenith Infotech, Modern India, Media One and Mastek zoomed 20-24% each.
Shree Astavinayak Cine Vision on the other hand slipped 11% to Rs 12. Kwality Dairy, Rollatainers and Advani Hotels were the other losers, dropped 5-10% each on the small cap index.
