|
| |
| He said the cabinet has approved the proposal to build a medical college in Indira Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences (IGIMS) Hospital.

| |
| State health minister Chandra Mohan Rai told us that the decision to increase seats was taken to stop exodus of students from Bihar to medical colleges in other states after payment of huge capitation fees.
|
| |
| It had nothing to do with the ongoing anti-quota agitation as the reservation facility for OBC students already existed in Bihar, he said.
|
| |
| Thousands of students from Bihar were compelled to travel to Karnataka, Maharashtra and other parts of the country to get a seat in medical colleges there on payment of capitation fee. "We decided to provide similar facilities in the state itself to check their migration," Rai added.
