MP approves allotment of 433 acres land, to IIT Indore

The Madhya Pradesh Cabinet has approved the decision of the Indore district administration to allot 432.84 acres of land to the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Indore for its proposed campus, official sources said today.
The decision was endorsed by the state Cabinet in its meeting chaired by the Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan yesterday, they said.
The land will be allotted to IIT Indore on an annual lease rent of Re 1 per year.
The remaining 70.52 acres of land will be allotted to the premier institute after acquiring the same from farmers for which the process is on, the sources added.
Indore is the only city in the country having both an IIT and an Indian Institute of Management (IIM) in its fold.
The biggest MP had supported IIT Institudes and 433 acres of land to use it. IIT means institude of technology. The state MP in indore city proposed campus and offical sources .
