Mudra group appoints expat as president

Tribal DDB India, Mudra Group’s interactive and new media unit, has appointed Max Hegerman as its new president. Hegerman will be based out of Mumbai and will oversee Tribal DDB India’s operations across five cities (Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, Chennai and Ahmedabad).

Prior to this appointment Max was the Regional Managing Director of TBWA’s Media Arts Lab in Beijing and managed the regional marketing needs of Apple in China.

Hegerman brings with him 18 years of solid leadership and experience on varied world class brands such as Nike, Apple, Volvo, BMW, Land Rover and Oakley.

He began his career in 1990 with Hal Riney & Partners in San Francisco. Within just three years he was handling Nike’s global account at Wieden Kennedy in Portland. Max has worked with several other leading brands in the communications industry since then, such as StrawberryFrog in New York, Initiative in LA, Euro RSCG in Irvine (California) and Energy BBDO in Chicago.

Tribal DDB India is a part of the Tribal DDB Worldwide group which was awarded Global Agency of the Year by Advertising Age in 2007. Tribal DDB India’s roster of clients includes LIC, Times Group, Nike, MTV, Reliance ADA Group, Volkswagen, Citibank, among others.
