Nakoda Limited (BSE code: 521030), one of the largest manufacturers of the fully drawn yarn, reported a robust growth in revenue and profits for the quarter ended, December 31, 2010.
The company saw an increase in revenue by a whopping 36.58% from Rs. 278.71 Cr to Rs. 380.67 Cr during the same period for the last fiscal. The profit after tax for the quarter ended December 31, 2010 stood at Rs. 9.27 Cr, resulting into an increase of 35.36%, as against Rs. 6.85 Cr in the corresponding period of the last fiscal. The revenue for the year ended on 31st December, 2010 also rose by 30.08% from Rs. 1029.31 Cr to Rs. 1338.89 Cr during the corresponding period of the previous year. Net Profits during the year increased significantly by 45.95% from Rs. 22.72 Cr during the corresponding period in the last fiscal to Rs.33.15 Cr.
Income from the Manufacturing Segment rose by 61.44% to Rs. 185.41 Cr from Rs. 114.85 Cr for the quarter under consideration. In the trading segment, the sales touched Rs. 195.26 Cr from Rs. 163.86 Cr, an increase of 19.16%.
