Moser Baer, the 2nd largest manufacturer of optical storage devices like CDs & DVDs, in a BSE filing today announced that it has reached an amicable and confidential settlement with Philips.

The dispute involved a series of patent disputes over recordable devices spanning multiple jurisdictions. The settlement provides resolution of all claims and counterclaims by both companies wihout any admission of liability or wrongdoing.
