State-owned Neyveli Lignite Corporation Limited (NLC) is in the process of recruiting management trainees and engineers keeping in line with its modernisation and expansion plans.
The mini-ratna would be recruiting a minimum of 50 engineers and managers every year for the next 5-6 years, said P Babu Rao, director (personnel).
The current employee strength of NLC is 19,000, of which executives and engineers account for about 4,000.
The expansion for mines cut operations, which commenced in June 2005, will be completed by the year 2009. Post expansion, the corporation would produce 14.5 million tonnes of lignite per annum.
